HIDI part 7; post heat treat and polishing

It was pretty cold in the shop; a good argument for pre-heating your oven!

I couldn't photograph the oven to quench process (only one set of hands). After quench, cryo, and temper check to make sure everything happened correctly
Just what I was looking for; 60.5 HRC
You can see I already started final grinding; remove the oxides and correct any grind issues.
A little hand sanding plunge line to tip to erase what is left of the spine to edge marks from the grinder.

Custom sanding blocks.

15 micron, 2000 and 2500 goes pretty fast.
If you did everything right you end up with these results.

My first professional pictures

While attending Blade'12 I was able to get Jim Cooper of Sharp by Coop to take pictures of two recently finished knives.  They were slated for different customers but look like a set.  A Loveless pattern Drop Hunter and a Loveless pattern Chute.  Both in CPM-154, 416 stainless guard and green canvas Micarta; the leather is also done by me.
